Women protesting in Iran

As we mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, it is fit to take a brief look at the atrocious situation the women Iran are facing under the ruthless mullahs’ dictatorship sitting on the throne in Tehran.

37 years after the 1979 revolution in Iran, the mullahs continue to relentlessly impose their misogynist viewpoints on the women of this country. Countless repressive measures are established to silence these brave women, as the mullahs understand very well how women pose the first and utmost threat against their entire foundation.

The Iranian regime has throughout its history provided state-support for violence targeting women, especially the horrific use of acid attacks by its loyal hoodlums. Iran is also a known executioner of women, and its prisons are full of women from all walks of life, including mothers along with their children and even pregnant women.

Iran is also known to kidnap and take hostage dual nationals, such as the ongoing case of British-Iranian Nazanin Zargari-Ratcliffe, in pursuit of its political purposes.

Despite the crackdown, the women of the Iranian Resistance continue to be the voice of all Iranian women and raise the attention of the international community regarding their plight.

The Iranian opposition recently held a conference in Italy on October 22nd calling for the horrendous summer 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners to be condemned by all nations across the globe.

The women of the Iranian Resistance continue to devout their all in the struggle to bring about freedom and democracy to their people. These brave women have always been in the forefront of all battles against fundamentalists in Tehran.

These women are also known to stand by their words and render actions as a result. They represent a force steadfast to bring about change and provide role models for the women of Iran.
